Following a mid-career pivot out from the military, I realised that developing teams and helping individuals grow were things that I was naturally drawn towards. This got me started on my journey to develop as a coach and facilitator. Now, driven by my passion to help people lead fulfilling lives, I simplify psychological research to optimise workplace behaviours and improve personal well-being.

Coaching Philosophy

I draw upon approaches and techniques from strengths-based coaching, positive psychology, appreciative inquiry, and profiling tools to support and challenge individuals to express their best possible selves in achieving their intended goals and in undertaking personal transformations. Core principles that underpin my coaching are empathy, empowerment, and compassion.

Work Experience

I was a Naval Combat Officer and scholarship recipient with the Republic of Singapore Navy for over seven years. As a commissioned officer, I served various operational leadership appointments onboard various warships, including a frigate, landing ship tank and mine countermeasure vessel. I then joined a HR Strategy Consulting startup, working with clients to solve their talent attraction and employee engagement challenges. I am currently a Senior Consultant specialising in the area of leadership development and DEI with a Swedish-based strategy execution firm called BTS. Tapping on my knowledge in the field of Psychology, I teach as an Associate Lecturer with the Singapore University of Social Sciences. Some modules I teach include: Intro to Psychology, the Psychology of Creativity, and Performance Psychology.
